Watercolour Portraits (Families)
A treat for Grandparents’ Week.
In this mutual portrait painting workshop, grandkids - ideal for ages 7 to 13 - and grandparents get to celebrate each other in full, unadulterated (water)colour. And, yes, they’ll be taking it in turns to paint each other's portrait(s).
This exuberant art workshop is for all levels of ability. Guidance is provided, and so are the materials. All you'll need to bring is the grandparent(s) - or grandchild(ren) - and bags of imagination.

Drawing and Storytelling with the Clothed Figure (8 - 13 years)
Combine your love of telling stories with the joy of drawing!
In this workshop, you will use a variety of drawing mediums - including charcoal, pencil, marker and pen - to draw a clothed artists' model. You will also learn to construct your own story from your drawings. Expect tips on drawing clothing as well as how to capture the model in imaginary spaces.

This Black History Month, celebrate your heritage with a 1-day painting workshop.
Exploring the everyday and fundamental parts of culture, from food to family, you'll use the painting medium gouache to express who you are and where you come from. You'll also see the value of how you paint, picking up some new techniques along the way.

Paint Your Selfie! (14 - 16 years)
Self-portraiture is a timeless technique, and in the 21st century, it has become a popular form of expression in photography, giving birth to the glorious ‘selfie’.
In this free 2-day painting workshop (3 - 5 pm), you'll observe yourself in different ways through different lenses and create a series of self-portraits in gouache. Along the way, you’ll see the value of how you paint, how you choose to express yourself and the story of you.

A picture can tell a thousand words. Now, imagine what a few pictures can do.
In this free 2-day workshop (3 - 5 pm), you'll take drawing to a whole new level as you realise the power, and learn fun techniques, of visual storytelling. Words are optional, but you will need your imagination. All other materials are provided.

Storytelling through Collage (7 - 11 years)
Did you know the art of collage dates from as far back as 200 BC, since the invention of paper?
In this free 2-day workshop (11 am - 1 pm), paper of various colours and types will be used - with an array of other materials and bits and bobs - to create a series of works that tell a story. Bring your own materials if you like, but loads more will be provided.
Most importantly, bring your imagination and let your creative spirit tag along.
